Want To Know My Secret?
I used to think skipping sleep meant working harder. More hours meant more money: right? But the less I slept, the worse I felt. I was tired, moody, and couldn’t focus.
Turns out, sleep isn’t just rest: it’s repair. During deep sleep, the brain’s glymphatic system clears out toxins and your body also balances hormones like cortisol (stress) and ghrelin (hunger). When you don’t sleep enough, stress rises and cravings kick in, even if you’re not hungry.
Looking for scientific answers? Google it, don’t ask me: I’m still Googling it too 🙄
All I know for now, when you’re sleep-deprived, every little setback feels like the end of the world. Without sleep, small problems feel big, and your dreams start to feel impossible.
When I finally started sleeping more, I felt like me again: focused, calm, and hopeful.
And honestly: naps are far cheaper than therapy.
