Never Complain, Never Explain
Scene: Leg Day at the Gym. I’m struggling. Enter Gibran: confident, cool, and clearly not human.
Me: barely finishing a squat “Bro, my legs are done. Why did I agree to Leg Day?”
Gibran: lifting like it’s nothing “Because you said you wanted to level up, remember? No turning back now.”
Me: “My thighs are shaking like jelly. I swear I might fall over.”
Gibran: “Good. That means it’s working. But remember: never complain, never explain.”
Me: “Easy for you to say. You’re out here doing squats like it’s a dance.”
Gibran: “Nah, I just don’t waste energy whining. Confidence isn’t some big secret: it’s a habit. You build it one rep at a time.”
Me: sits on the floor dramatically “I’m dying.”
Gibran: laughs “You’re growing. Big difference.”
And that’s when I got it: never complain, never explain: just show up, do the work, and let the confidence come naturally.
