Leadership Under 100 Words
I’ve seen it firsthand, how the “Yes, sir” culture can slowly erode the heart of an organization. I was often that person nodding along, too afraid to challenge authority.
But the constant need to agree, to please, meant the ideas I really believed in went unspoken. The more I nodded, the more I lost my voice.
What I’ve learned is that real growth, both for individuals and institutions, comes from the courage to speak up.
Leaders who demand unwavering agreement aren’t creating harmony; they’re stifling the very thing that fuels innovation, diverse thoughts and honest feedback.
The silence of “Yes, sir” isn’t just a lack of opposition; it’s the death of progress.
We must dare to say more than just “yes.”
