Dream Big, Spend Small, And Keep It All
You don’t need a lot of money to start. With crowdfunding, you can raise funds and keep control of your idea. Start small, dream big, and go for it!
So last night, I caught up with a few friends, just a random hangout, nothing fancy. Same usual crew, all either frugal, stingy, or just plain broke. Everyone’s got these big business dreams but zero cash. Typical.
Somewhere between stuffing our faces with tikka masala and arguing over who still owes Farhan five bucks from last month, he goes, “Alright man, you read all that business stuff... how the hell do we bootstrap something without going into debt or giving up ownership? And don’t say get a loan we’re broke.”
I told them straight: “Look, if you’re serious about keeping your idea and staying debt-free, you gotta look at crowdfunding. Platforms like Kickstarter or Indiegogo let you pitch your idea, and if people like it, they’ll literally pay you to build it: pre-orders, not charity.”
Farhan blinks, Wait… people pay us... for an idea?
Everyone’s nodding, half chewing, half dreaming.
“Yep. But don’t get too excited: you still gotta put in work. Video, storytelling… No one’s handing out cash just because your mom likes your idea.”
Best part? I add. You get the cash, keep ownership, and don’t owe anyone a dime.
They were sold. For once, everyone shut up and took notes.
Check this out, it’s great! kickstarter
