Comparison Is The Thief Of Joy
I used to scroll through social media and feel like I was always behind. Someone was always fitter, richer, happier, more “put together.”
I’d sit with my chai and feel small, like my life wasn’t enough. But one day, I caught myself. I was looking at their good days and feeling bad about my normal ones.
And I let someone else's success make me doubt my own progress.
Comparison steals more than joy: it steals presence. It robs us of peace, of gratitude for what we do have. My life isn’t perfect, but it’s mine. That smile from my loved ones, the quiet moments with a book, the way I laugh with my best mate over silly things: that’s gold.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Your path is yours. No one else walks it.
Celebrate others, but stay rooted in your own growth.
Gratitude is the antidote to comparison.
The more I focused on what’s good in my life, the less space there was for envy. Life isn’t a race. It’s a story: and comparison only distracts us from writing our own.
Your path is yours: don’t borrow someone else’s.

Very well crafted and a powerful reminder to stay grounded in your own journey.
